Pride is My Right
Dallas Pride began in the 70s, initially held each September, and grew into a cornerstone event for the city that is home to the the 6th largest LGBTQ+ community in the U.S. In 2019, it moved to June (aligning with National Pride Month). Over the decades, Pride in Dallas evolved from grassroots marches into a massive, welcoming festival, consistently prioritizing inclusivity, education, and visibility.
The 2025 theme “Pride is My Right” reflects recent challenges to LGBTQ+ rights both locally and abroad, asserting that the freedom to live authentically is non-negotiable.
