    July (Dates TBC)

    Location

10 New Gower Street, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador A1C 1J3, Canada, St. John's, Canada

    St. John's Pride

Canada’s easternmost Pride celebration is as colourful, kind, and community-focused as you’d expect from the famously friendly province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

St. John’s Pride is an 11 day-long festival celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ identity, diversity, and visibility in one of the most picturesque (and delightfully quirky) cities in Canada. Think historic harbours, bright jellybean houses, wild Atlantic views – and a growing queer community that knows how to throw a truly inclusive party.

    What To Expect

    The Parade

The St. John's Pride Parade typically kicks off from New Gower Street and winding through downtown with high energy and even higher heels. Local organizations, drag royalty, community groups, and allies come together in a moving celebration of queer joy and resilience.

    Events & Highlights

Expect a full week of inclusive programming, including:

Queer arts showcases & film screenings

    Youth and family-friendly Pride Picnics

Drag shows and open mic nights (hello, karaoke and queer storytelling!)

Panel discussions & workshops focusing on intersectionality, Indigenous LGBTQ+ issues, and health advocacy

Pride on George – the nightlife centrepiece, with bars and clubs hosting themed nights across the weekend

    Where to Stay

St. John's doesn’t have a gay hotel per se, but several accommodations are especially welcoming to LGBTQ+ travellers. Great options include:

JAG Hotel – chic, central, and music-themed, just a 5-minute walk from the heart of the George Street party

Dvele Inn – modern, minimalist luxury in downtown St. John's
