Bar 35

Bar 35 is an LGBT-popular bar in Honolulu’s Chinatown entertainment district and a long-running local hangout. The beer list is impressive, with Hawaiian favourites such as Maui, Kona, Lanai, Aloha, and Waikiki alongside imports including Duvel, Chimay, and Founders. Everything is organised by style, from lagers and IPAs to sours and stouts. According to patrons, the food is also a standout.

For entertainment, DJs and live music take over on different nights. Inside, there’s a brick-walled lounge, while the patio gives you some fresh air when the bar gets busy. Private rooms are available for larger parties, too.

Prices are friendly to the wallet, although the place can get seriously packed.
